Hey everyone!
First off, I wanted to thank all my friends, family and fans who have given me their undying support over the past year. Since I decided early last year to start publishing my music online, I've met some really great people and awesome musicians who share the same passion for music. There's just no words to describe how good it feels when people tell me things like "I listen to your music everyday before work on my train ride into Tokyo". If it weren't for websites like YouTube, Myspace, LastFM, sevenstring.org and others, this wouldn't have been possible. This time last year, my music never left the small home studio I write my music in. Now it's reached places I've never been... and that's amazing to me. So thank you! I'm not trying to sound all big-headed about it, because what I do is so small in the big scheme of things (I don't mind, I love living underground). I just wanted to acknowledge the people who have supported what I do/will do. Continue to spread the word!
I'm pleased to announce that as a result of the everyone's support and recognition, I have earned an endorsement with Bernie Rico Jr. Guitars! http://www.ricojrguitars.com/
I have been a fan of Rico guitars for many years and I am really honored and excited to be a part of the team. Bernie Rico Jr. is the son of legendary luthier, Bernie Rico Sr., founder of B.C. RICH Guitars. Bernie has been personally trained by his father in the art and craft of building the world's finest hand-carved guitars. Bernie and I have come up with a couple amazing axes, tailored specifically to my needs and playing style. The next album I do (in writing process) will be recorded exclusively on these insanely high quality guitars. When I say "exclusive", I mean just that... so I apologize to all the Agile/Ibanez lovers, but I will not be playing, recording, or doing anymore videos with those guitars. Once you see what these Rico Jr. guitars are all about, you will understand why (or maybe you already know?). These are "dream guitars" to me. Big thanks to Bernie for his generosity and support.
My newest album - "The Arrival" is doing way better than I thought it would. It's been downloaded enough times to qualify for a gold record in some small countries, haha. (very small countries). I appreciate all the people who downloaded it and spread it around. I also appreciate those who gave donations. As a result, I have been able to upgrade some studio gear...which will hopefully make the next album much better. I'm motivated now more than ever to write and record music that really challenges my abilities as a producer, songwriter and guitarist.
I've had a few issues with certain websites in foreign countries selling my music without permission. It's happened enough now for it to be a legitimate concern for me. I don't think anyone should profit off of something that I offer to people for free. It's not right! So please, if you stumble across "The Arrival" for sale anywhere on the web, please let me know so I can try to put a stop to it.
Again, I appreciate all the support and motivation you guys give me! I'll keep doing what I do and we'll see what another year brings. Good times!
Thanks for reading,
Keith
